WHAT STARTED IT ALL

John and Thomas Schnitzius' passion for food compelled them to move to the "wild west" in 1892 and share their culinary creations with a new group of people.

Back then the Dallas cowboys were not a football team, they were actually real cowboys.  One thing all cowboys ate, and all Texans for that matter, was beef ... and lots of it.

Once these Texans got a taste of Schnitzius Prepared Horseradish on top of their beef, the rest was history.

That same horseradish those cowboys ate 130 years ago is the one product which still remains unchanged since 1892.

Today it can be found under the Schnitzius Imperial label in the refrigerated food case in supermarkets throughout the Dallas area.
